Zhoucun Village - Lishui Town - Foshan City

Zhoucun is one of many villages around Guangzhou, with a mix of old buildings, build very close to each other, following Feng Shui, which accounts for the complete odd placement of the little houses. And surrounded by farm fields like the one showed on the right.

Our 5th balcony had enough space for a garden swing chair and also for...

Another angle of the place. Many narrow little alleys only suitable for pedestrians, bicycles and motorcycles.

And for many years, the two top floors of this building was home. The top floor was just one big room and a large balcony. Right by the main road, to guarantee the music of trucks and motorcycles all day long.

The narrow alleys look very typical of small villages.

An old temple could be found in the middle of the houses.

Some days of the year the trees on the street would bloom making it colorful.
