Remembering Brazil

Back to menu

I was never much of a "Gaudério", or a follower of our regions traditional costumes and music. However in spite of this, there's a little corner in my soul that shrinks when listening to a "gaucho" poem or music. .

There's a funny thing about the place you are born and where grow up. No matter where you go, no matter how better you might be, you will never forget. All your childhood memories are from there. Places you have been, sights you have seen, moments of happiness and sadness, all are connected to there. So this corner or our web page is dedicated to some of the stuff from Renato's country, Brazil.

One of the things that have have fond memories of, is the trips to the beach. Above is a easily recognizable part of Torres beach, in a Winter day. Those leisure drives to the coast, for some seafood and some fresh salty air are greatly missed.

Thinking about home is remembering the great barbecues, or "churrascos". Simple food, just beef seasoned with rock salt, over a charcoal fire.

Speaking about Brazil one always remembers Rio de Janeiro. Our Postal Card now sadly tarnished by crime...
